Poem of the Week

Daytime Revelry

Bouncing back and forth
across the highway
waiting for a ride
a ride to anywhere
where there are hamburgers, hotdogs and French fries
ice cream for dessert.

It might be the beach
in the mountains
or in the green desert
surrounded by Saguaro cacti in full bloom
or a waterfall in the park
where the wood sprites join us in
daytime revelry.
